UNITY: CREATOR

EASY GAME MAKING

We collaborated with Unity to create a future vision for a game creation tool targeting students and amateurs without extensive coding experience. We used engagement loops to boost creativity and knowledge at different game design moments: creating, playing, sharing and learning.

The output was an animated storyline based on 3 real game prototypes, a UI/UX system for game creation components based on Unity’s existing system, and a strategy for how to realize the project in the future.

A platform game that can be paused and modded, by dragging assets onto the level.

Objects are smart and connect logically to each other. Here a key knows that it can open a door.

To support jumping into Unity development, the output of your actions can be seen as code.

We developed a full UX/UI component system based on everything you can do in Unity, categorized by Appearance, Control, Physics and Abilities.

Your games, progress and friends lives on your profile page.

Assets could be shared between games seamlessly. A car from a racing game could be imported into a 3rd person shooter.

You can see the generated code in both Blockly and C# formats.
